Сахалин

I spent 2 years commuting to Sakhalin Island in the Russian Far East and during each trip I would buy a Matryoshka doll. Normally they sit on my bookcase collecting dust but today I decided to take each one apart and photograph them. They are so beautifully painted it seems a shame to not have each one on display but that would require too much space. Enjoy these little works of art.
