«Оха -- это город, который расположился в северной части острова Сахалин. Щедрая природа наделила жителей северного Сахалинского края морской рыбой и зверем, дарами тайги, сокровищами недр. С нефтью и газом неразрывно связана жизнь Охи и охинцев. Оха -- центр нефтяной и газовой промышленности Дальнего Востока! Не удивительно, что участники международного симпозиума по проблемам нефтехимического комплекса, который проходил в Южно-Сахалинске 27 августа, не упустили возможности побывать в Охе, посмотреть на красоту ее природы, и увидеть, как в непростых условия Сахалинского Севера добываются нефть и газ. Гости из страны «Восходящего Солнца» прибыли на двух самолетах, общим числом около семидесяти человек. На нескольких вертолетах они совершили полет над охинским районом, добрались до Ноглик и Катангли. Вот такой предстала им Сахалинская природа с высоты птичьего полета! А нам остается только добавить, что встречу и обслуживание гостей на высоком уровне обеспечивал охинский филиал российско-японской фирмы «Друг» во главе с Анатолием Понамаревым». А. Владимиров.

Korean Air Lines Flight 007 (KAL 007, KE 007) was a Korean Air Lines civilian airliner that was shot down by Soviet jet interceptors on September 1, 1983, over the Sea of Japan, just west of Sakhalin island over prohibited Soviet airspace. All 269 passengers and crew aboard were killed, including Lawrence McDonald, a sitting member of the United States Congress. The aircraft was en route from New York City via Anchorage to Seoul when it strayed into prohibited Soviet airspace because of a navigational error.

This is a state-of-the-art enterprise that has world-standard technology. The new production line will produce 18000 microchips a year. This will give us with the supply of microchips we need, especially for our passport and visa services. The microchips will be used in passports and in a number of advanced technology sectors in industry. This new production line marks a significant advance for Russia in making microchips of this standard. This is important for the entire microelectronics sector and I will therefore also hold a meeting in Zelenograd on developing microelectronics in the civilian sector of the economy. All of the new production lines output will be going precisely to the civilian sector. VLADIMIR PUTIN: Will there be any benefit for the defence sector too?
