Since 512AD, Dok-Do(Hornet Islands) has been a Korean Sovereign Territory, despite Japanese claims that it was annexed in 1905, in the midst of Russo-Japanese war. The same year the US colluded with Japan about Japanese control over Korea in a secret deal. However, four years later, the US Navy Dept. publication " Asiatic Pilot; East Coast of Siberia, Sakhalin Island and Korea,- United States Hydrographic Office under the authority of the secretary of the Navy, Government Printing Office, 1909" squarely placed Dok-Do in East Coast of Korea, recognizing Korean sovereign ownership of Dok-Do. As late as December 1993, another US Government Agency "US National Geospatial -Intelligence Agency" also confirmed Korean ownership of Dok-do: www.geographic.org So We Koreans ask, " Isn't it high time for the US to abandon the so called "non-committal policy" and recognize Korean Sovereign Ownership of Dok-Do?"
