The AP reports that the wildlife advocacy group WWF is accusing Rosneft -- Russia's largest oil company, of being the root cause of endangered whales leaving their established feeding ground in the Pacific. The WWF indicated that Rosneft began explorations near Sakhalin island. This is the same location where western north Pacific gray whales feed. The AP reports that there are only an estimated 130 of the species in the world. The WWF stated that "nursing mothers and calves began to leave the area where Rosneft used acoustic blasts to detect offshore deposits." They further stated that their calls requesting exploration to be postponed pending the whale migration were ignored by Rosneft. Длительность: 0:55
